Engineering Technician

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures for digital and paper workflow for AM processes
  • Assess, document, and work to optimize production activities pertaining to all aspects of 3D printing including but not limited to:
    • powder handling and reprocessing
    • direct and indirect build related activities, such as digital file preparation, traceability requirements, and machine preparation
    • part support removal, inspection, compliance to customer requirements, shipping, and data archiving
    • Perform all operations duties including quality checks, filling out quality records, production and downtime reporting
    • cleaning, assembling, finishing, packaging and shipping printsConduct regular and preventative maintenance on the factory’s 3D printers and other equipment
  • Perform work in a safe manner and adhere to safety programs, processes and procedures
  • Contribute to the improvement of internal automation tools, software and factory processes
  • Work to continuously guarantee and improve customer satisfaction

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum Technical Diploma or Higher Nitec/Nitec/NTC3 with 2 to 3 years working experience
  • Familiar with 3D design and 3D printing, and Experience working with 3D printers
  • Experience with finishing techniques (i.e. sanding and spray painting, etc.)
  • Experience with CAD and 3D build preparation
  • Familiar with Heat Treat Furnaces, CNC Machining and grinding hand tools
  • Experience with rapid prototyping processes (3D printing, CNC-machining, etc).
  • Hand/Eye coordination necessary
  • Ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes
  • Basic computer skills to include Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to be flexible and adaptable, and to change priorities and direction with minimal notice allowing for optimum effectiveness
  • Highly self-motivated and works well under pressure

Design Technician / Design Engineer

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide 2D/3D CAD product drawings for internal and external use
  • Design 3D models for proof-of-concept, mock-ups and functional appearance models
  • Ensure all CAD drawings are correctly tolerance, managed and backed up according to procedure
  • Analyze customer provided specifications, sketches, ideas for feasibility and printability
  • Coordination of programming, production & assembly of 3D printed designs and conceptual models, for both internal & external use
  • Provide estimate time required to complete CAD designs based on requirements for project deliverables
  • Provide all costs and lead times when requested for concept samples, sample and production
  • Facilitate design review meetings to discuss concepts & proposed product designs, engaging other necessary functional departments of the business with an end goal of gaining input regarding product manufacturability
  • Attend quality review and production meetings as needed
  • Assist Quality control department in development of go/no-go gauges & product tolerance forms.
  • When requested improve existing product designs
  • Assist project & sales team as needed with conceptual renderings and hand sketches when needed
  • Continually update all Work in progress within the Smartsheet Database for production visibility
  • All other assigned duties based on business requirements

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Industrial design, product design or similar fields with 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience (for Design Engineer position)
  • Diploma in Industrial design, product design or similar fields with 2 to 3 years of relevant working experience (for Design Technician position)
  • Knowledge of 3D printing technologies – SLM, MJF, etc
  • Ability to create high quality conceptual renderings & animations.
  • Expertise in Solidworks 3D & AutoCAD 2D CAD Software
  • Demonstrates a strong initiative & ability to work in a self-directed environment.

Procurement Administrator

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare Purchase Requisition and Purchase Order
  • Liaise with overseas suppliers to purchase stocks
  • Conduct Quality Control for all incoming materials and outgoing finished products
  • Liaise with freight forwarders
  • Arrange shipment to customers and from suppliers
  • Coordinate with Sales on delivery of finished products
  • Maintaining inventory level

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Activities:

JOB OVERVIEW

The Client Account Manager is primarily responsible for generating revenue by developing new business opportunities and offering clients a range of cutting-edge AM solutions (popularly known as “3D printing”). A tireless hunter who lives for finding and developing opportunities for clients to take advantage of new AM technologies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Activities:

  • Manage and develop portfolio of clients in the client segment/area of responsibility
  • Plan and maintain regular contact with all current and prospective clients by means of executing standard cold calls and face to face meetings
  • Manage new and existing client deals, respond to enquiries and submit quotation in a timely manner
  • Monitor and coordinate sales/marketing effort to achieve sales target
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to coordinate a sale project until its successful closure
  • Support sales and marketing by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education:

Model Maker

JOB OVERVIEW

As a model maker, you’ll design and make 3D scale models & mock-ups with the help of our high-tech 3D Printers and machines to show how new buildings or products will look like, and to test new design concepts.

Some specific uses of models include (though they are not limited to) the following:

  • architectural design – scale models of new and existing building designs
  • product design – models of new products designed for testing before production starts
  • visual effects design – models used in special effects or to show set designs in TV, film and theatre.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Activities:

Your duties can vary depending on your job, but you’re likely to:

  • Discuss requirements (the brief) with the designer or client
  • Use Computer-aided design (CAD) to illustrate initial ideas
  • Make any necessary amendments as a result of further consultation before producing a detailed final model
  • Use a range of hand, power and machine tools and various 3D Printers to make models
  • Carry out finishing processes such as hand colouring and spray painting.

You’ll be using a wide range of materials & 3D printers that can produce parts in metal, wood, plastic, clay, card, resin and plaster to create your models.

If you produce architectural models, you may also model the surrounding area to show how the building will fit in with its environment.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience as a model maker
  • Experience in handling large scaled models for architecture, marine & engineering
  • CAD / 3D Modeling skills is a plus
  • Able to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
